Welcome to the Heaton Festival. Every two years, Heatonians get together to enjoy the best of what our community has to offer. We listen to local bands, eat good food, drink local coffee and have loads of fun! Something for the whole family: from jumbo bouncy castles to selfie scavenger hunts!

The Heaton Festival is designed to encourage people of all ages to discover more about Heaton and what it has to offer. This is a celebration of our neighbourhood, with great food, beautiful art, fun sports activities and lots of amazing music – all produced right here in Heaton.

Is it free?

Entrance to the festival is completely free, though some activities, such as the bouncy castle will have a small charge.

Do I need a ticket?

No. Just turn up! Although, please RSVP on the Facebook page if you can, so we have an idea of numbers.

How do I get there?

Heaton Festival is happening in Heaton Park, the main entrance to which is off Heaton Road with another entrance off Heaton Park View. You can get the bus to the festival, or take the metro to Chillingham Road Metro Station, which is approximately a 15 minute walk from the festival. Is there parking?

There is limited disabled parking at the park, just off Jesmond Vale Lane, but otherwise there is no on-site parking.

Can I bring a picnic?

You can, but don’t forget there will be lots of fantastic and tasty treats to eat at the festival – see the Food page for more information!

I have a business and would like a stall/stand/pitch at the festival. Who do I need to speak to?

Please use the details on the Contact page to get in touch.

Can I volunteer?

Absolutely, we cannot make this festival happen without our lovely volunteers. Please fill out the form on the Contact page, and someone will get back to you.
