Arts and Music Festival
27-29 September - St Gabriel's
The event is a celebration of the talents of local artists and musicians ,who will be exhibiting , demonstrating and performing over the weekend . Free entry. All are welcome.
EcoFest
22nd September 11am - 1pm - St Francis'
including a plant sale, bee keepers, local conservation and other eco charities – it’s free and refreshments will be available.
Heaton Saints Football
Every Tuesday and Saturday
Heaton Saints play in the North East Christian Fellowship league where teams are a mix of Christians and non-Christians and play a very competitive 11 a-side standard.
The very friendly team is always looking for new players to join the squad and play on matchdays.
Heaton Velos
Once a month cycling group
We organise a monthly ride on the last Saturday of the month. We have a fast and slow group riding into Northumberland. We cover about 30-35 miles with a coffee stop. The group organise lots of impromptu rides almost every Saturday through our whatsapp group.

Open Lunch
Every Wednesday - 11:30 - St Silas
On a Wednesday St Silas Church have a service at 11.30.
At 12noon we then invite anyone to come in and have lunch with us. It is a great opportunity to share soup or sandwiches and talk together. Just call in between 12 and 1.30pm. Everyone is welcome.
Martha & Mary's Community Cafe
Every day 10-2 - 212 Chillingham Rd
A warm and friendly community cafe, situated on Chillingham Road in the heart of Heaton which was setup and is run by volunteers. If you are interested in giving a couple of hours a week of your time to help us keep Martha & Mary’s open we’d love to have you as a part of the team. Check out the website for more details.
